Harley-Davidson with new CEO

The Interim Executive Director of the Motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson John Olin was officially appointed to that position permanently on Friday. 48-year-old Olin assumed temporary management of the company on 1 May when replacing the post Tom Bergman. Then the company had announced that it will elect its new executive director with a contest featuring local and international candidates. Olin is the company from May 2003 until now has been vice president. Before that he spent 12 years in various financial positions at Kraft Foods, Oscar Mayer Foods and Miller Brewing Companies. John Olin will be responsible for financial operations of the company’s investor relations, technology and information systems. The next big task in Olin has long planned to enter the Harley-Davidson in the Indian market, which recently announced that it will happen in 2010.
At the time of trading sessions in the U.S. company’s shares 0.5% Increase to 24.81 dollars in cash.
