2012 Kia’s new supermini Picanto spy photos
Kia hopes its new small car is the image of the group! Our spy photographers caught this mule on test in the vicinity of the company R & D European headquarters in Rüsselsheim, Germany, in the test phase to be launched next year.
And while the Picanto plays an important panel, the newcomer, the proportions are notably similar to the car it replaces. But the brand new car boxy form a serious injection of style by design boss Peter Schreyer and his team was given.
At the front is swept back headlamps and the familiar chrome grille snout Tigers are visible, while the current car broken shoulder line is replaced with a steep, what the Picanto a sportier profile.
The car shown here has five doors, and will probably be offered in this body style at the start, but Kia is considering whether to even build a cheaper three-door version.
Expect the Picanto a similarly impressive interior feature, with a practical, yet stylish design that is reminiscent of the recently launched Sportage. And just as the SUV, the majors kit on price-performance ratio, the Picanto with such as air conditioning, power windows and an MP3-compatible stereo be packed.
Under the hood, the Kia will get the same all-new 1.0-liter gasoline engine, thes 99g/km of carbon dioxide, which will debut in Paris is the 2011 model year Hyundai i10. The Picanto uses the same platform as its sister Hyundai car.
The new Picanto will make its worldwide debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March next year. The prices are likely to remain highly competitive costs, with entry-level versions of some £ 7,000 when to go on sale in the UK as early as next summer.
