Temps are already skyrocketing into the 90 degree range on the East Coast which means it’s time to start showing some skin. However, the office is no place to bare it all. Fortunately one of the season’s top trends just happens to be the summer suit!
An updated take on office wear, the summer suit is comprised of a sharp blazer and chic shorts (which also happens to be a very of-the-moment trend in its own right).

With a dreamy cover of 30’s classic Falling In Love Again, Sabatini White’s RAFW (Australian fashion week) show began. Models with hair in soft, cascading waves padded slowly down the runway with a sleepy sensuality, like purring kittens on a late morning hunt for milk. Before long the music upped in pace and the padding became prowling as tighter, darker, cut-away pieces found their way down the runway, followed by full-length sheer black lace pieces and some empire-waist tiered dresses that echoed a 70s free-love sentiment.
The dreamy, just-woken-up look also manifested in feminine yet sultry pieces that sat somewhere between lingerie and outerwear, rounding out a beautiful Spring 2010 collection.

Spring 2010 Fashion Trends
As spring approaches, it is time to put away the sweaters and turtlenecks and maybe add a few new outfits to the wardrobe. This spring, floral print tops and khaki pants are the look for both men and women. The colors are soft and natural, instead of bright. Springtime pastels are especially eye-catching this spring season.
For women, this spring is the perfect time to wear turquoise jewelry. Those who do not own turquoise should consider investing in some. Floral hair decorations also work well this spring, bringing back the popular look of the 60’s and 70’s. Big bows are also great hair accessories this spring and will give women a fresh, new look. Pink is often a color that works well for women, especially during the springtime. The shades of pink can range anywhere from rose shade to fuchsia. New trends from Paris fashion week
Capes: You might already be ahead of the curve on this one, because Céline, Chloé and, consequently, Zara are selling camel wool ones right now. This trend looks set to diversify. Chloé reprised them in rust-coloured knitwear for a slightly 70s Charlie-girl feel. At its Arctic-themed show, Chanel gave us capes-cum-polar bears and house-tweed capes. Roland Mouret’s tweed-hooded versions had a Scottish Widows vibe about them and could work brilliantly as an evening cape. Meanwhile, McQueen had included capes in his final collection – his were stately and ornately medieval.

Zoe Saldana honoured by MaxMara
Zoe Saldana, the beautiful “blue” star of Avatar, has been named as the “Face of the Future” by the leading Italian luxury brand, MaxMara.
Ms Saldana will be the front row guest-of-honour at the presentation of MaxMara’s autumn/winter 2010/2011 collection at Milan Fashion Week on Saturday, February 27th.
Later this year, she will receive an award at the Women in Film Crystal & Lucy gala, sponsored by MaxMara, in Los Angeles, in June.
