Citroen C4

The second-generation Citroën C4 has been revealed ahead of its official world premiere at the Paris motor show in October. Measuring 4330mm in length, 1790mm wide and 1490mm high, the latest version is 50mm longer, 20mm wider and 30mm taller than the previous model.

The new C-segment hatchback features the DRG previewed by the DS High Rider show car. But unlike the concept the production C4 remains a conventional five-door hatch with a higher roofline and more upright tailgate. The overlapping, fade-out, fade-in boneline is reminiscent of the Lexus CT 200h's rear haunches and new Ford Focus' slashes, as are its taillamps, which are pinched forward into the rear fenders.

Inside, the central digital IP has been replaced with a traditional three-dial setup – although on closer inspection the new displays are analogue/digital displays, the backlighting of which can be customized. One notable omission is the fixed-hub steering wheel that debuted on the outgoing C4.
