I’ve been waiting for the actual concept car of the 2008 Accord Coupe since seeing the drawing awhile back. The good thing is that Honda kept the rear end of the car very similar to the drawing – and it looks absolutely fantastic. The quad exhaust will probably turn into dual exhaust for the production model, which is fine. But the rear of the car is daring enough without being offensive, that I really like it.
The problem, though, is not the rear of the car. It’s the fact that that the side profile and front of the car look exactly like a Hyundai Tiburon, which I don’t like. See, Hyundai is supposed to be copying Honda, not the other way around. I like the basic look of the current Accord front end. If Honda can combine that ( spice it up a little, of course ) with the concept rear end, they’ll have a huge hit, and I’ll buy one. If they keep the Tiburon look, this Accord will bring new meaning to the word suckage.
